The Dae Policies

  • Rescheduling, Cancellation & Late Policy

    Hourly rentals can be rescheduled within 48 hours; if not your are subject to a $10 Rescheduling fee.

    Half, full & multi day event reschedules must be made within 2 weeks from the booked date to avoid a rescheduling fee of $150

    If you are running late, you are not able to stay past your time unless you contact us and we approve the time extension. If you arrive early or go over your scheduled time your card will be charged with your added time ($1/min).

    We do not give refunds for cancellations.

  • Cleaning

    Please make sure to clean up on your things including any trash, . There's cleaning supplies in the shed behind the greenhouse. Please make sure the studio and backyard is in the state as when you arrived. If any linens, blankets furniture, etc. get dirty, please notify us so we can clean them. If something is damaged upon your arrival please notify us immediately. Please make sure the bathroom is clean after use.

  • Damage

    Please contact us before your booking if you plan on hanging anything from the wall or ceiling so we can walk you through the best way to do so. Nails and tape are prohibited. Command strips and washi tape are okay as long as no damage is done to the walls. If there is any damage to the walls, floors, furniture, trees, yard area or anything else provided by the Dae, the booking party will be responsible for the cost of the repairs or replacement. Only battery operated candles permitted.

Reach out to The Dae if there are any issues with anything upon arrival

contact us before your booking if you plan on hanging anything from the wall or ceiling in the studio, or from trees outside. nails and tape are prohibited, washi tape and command strips are okay. Please pick up furniture to move.

Please take trash with you after bookings, clean up spills, wipe down tables and chairs, and sweep the floor if needed. Return all equipment and props to their original positions.

There is a bathroom in the house to the left through the laundry room. Do not use the garbage cans in the bathroom and make sure the bathroom is clean after use.

If any linens, furniture or seating are dirty please contact us.

Contact us about any damage to the studio, props, furniture or yard area. The booking party will be responsible for the cost of the repairs or replacement of any damage done to items provided by the The Dae. Please ensure the safety of all participants during your rental. The Dae is not liable for any injuries that occur during your rental period.

If you need more time, please contact us and if it’s available we’ll charge your card on file. Turn off all lights, make sure everything is unplugged and the door will automatically lock behind you. If there is no one else in the building when you leave, please lock the main door to the building using the key in the lock box and scramble the code.

If shooting boudoir, please pull the shades over the window. Please let us know if you’re shooting boudoir and we’ll turn the camera onto privacy mode.

The Dae is in a residential area. Please be respectful and keep music and noise levels down. All music must be off my 9pm.

Rental time includes setup and cleanup- please stick to your allotted time.

Rain Policy

The Dae is designed for beautiful, outdoor celebrations, but we know the weather can be unpredictable. Here’s how we handle it:

LIGHT RAIN:

We provide up to 60 umbrellas on site for guest use in case of light rain. Many couples have found that rain adds a romantic and cozy atmosphere to the day-especially with the sound of raindrops under the trees. The greenhouse is a styled photography space and cannot accommodate ceremonies or large groups.

TENTS & ADDITIONAL COVERING:

If you’d like additional coverage beyond umbrellas, you are welcome and encouraged to coordinate tent rentals in advance.

SEVERE WEATHER:

For the safety of all guests and staff, outdoor events may be paused, delayed, or canceled in the event of dangerous weather. We do not offer indoor space as a backup. If lightning or high winds occur and continuing outdoors becomes unsafe during the first half of your event, we will work with you to reschedule to another available date within 6 month. Reschedules are subject to availability and not guaranteed for specific days of the week.

We always recommend having a weather backup plan-whether that’s a tent rental or a nearby indoor location for dinner or dancing.
